Treating Swine Flu with Reiki

swine-flu-reiki

I guess its high time I addressed this Swine Flu (or North American Flu… as it seemingly has less to do with Pigs than People) situation before it gets out of hand <Reiki Joke>. As Reiki Practitioners there are several things we should be aware of and several things we can be doing to help… I’d like to take a look at a few of these here.

First of all lets take a look at what we should be aware of. As Reiki Practitioners we are not immune to Swine Flu and it is highly contagious, so if you are treating someone do so with all due care. Protecting yourself with some type of auric protection may not be enough and I wouldn’t rely on it no matter how well it works in preventing psychic attack and protecting yourself against the common cold. There is nothing common about this one form of influenza, and it shouldn’t be treated lightly.

Treating Swine Flu is basically the same as treating regular flu as the symptoms are basically the same (although Swine Flu may include diarrhea and/or vomiting, which is generally not present with other varieties) and usually include fever, headache, sore throat, nasal stuffiness, cough and body aches and pain. Each of these can be treated individually or they can be treated as one… Reiki will be drawn to the area of greatest energetic imbalance (just as a plus magnet is drawn to a minus one) and do its thing.

In my experience the greatest benefit of Reiki for treating influenza is in the comfort it provides. It may or may not help speed up the healing process depending on many variables, but it certainly helps relieve the associated pain and body aches which characteristically make it so unbearable.

Turning to what we might do to help, I believe at the moment Distance Reiki treatments would be the most beneficial and there are a few ways in which this can be done. First is by following individual cases in the newspaper. Any details given (names, locations, numbers, etc.) can be use to aim your Distance Reiki. Getting several Reiki Practitioners together and having them all focus their Distance Reiki on the same thing will make it all the more powerful. Twitter is ideal for doing this as up to the second coordination can be accomplished.

A more general approach would be to just send Distance Reiki to some place like Mexico City. There are a lot of problems associated with Swine Flu besides the flu itself. People are panicking, business is suffering, travel is increasingly more restrictive and there is a lot of dis-ease above and beyond the disease itself. General Reiki can be just as helpful as Specific Reiki at a time like this.

My own Reiki is going out continuously in both of these ways and I encourage all of my readers to do the same. The medical community needs all the help it can get and I’m sure we all know what the flu feels like… wouldn’t wish that on anyone!

  1. Great post! I read your other posts as well and I subscribed to your RSS Feed!

  2. My brother got infected with H1N1 or Swine Flu in Mexico. He got a mild fever and luckily he did not die.

  3. If you look at the pandemic of 1977, when H1N1 or Swine Flu re-emerged after a 20 year absence, there is no shift in age-related mortality pattern. The 1977 “pandemic” is, of course, not considered a true pandemic by experts today, for reasons that are not entierely consistent. It certainly was an antigenic shift and not an antigenic drift. As far as I have been able to follow the current events, the most significant factor seems to have been that most people, who were severely affected, were people with other medical conditions.

  4. i think that in asian countries the Swine Flu did not spread rapidly compared to those countries that are located in colder climates. we should still be very thankful that the swine flu did not cause massive infections.

  5. 2 of my cousins in mexico got infected with the swine flu virus. thank God, they recovered well. it is a great news that the pandemic on swine flu is gone now.

  6. We should be thankful that the swine flu did not spread very rapidly. it is not very deadly like Ebola but swine flu can still kill you.
