Painting With Reiki
I spent a good part of the day today getting ready for a fun packed weekend painting… NOT!!! Getting ready yes, but it will hardly be fun packed as I can feel my muscles aching already. But prepare I did, as our 3 bedrooms are going to be painted whether I like it or not. 
Rather than fill your bandwidth with stories about how miserable I am at painting and how much I loathe it, lemme cut right to the chase and talk about how I plan to add some Reiki to the ordeal… so maybe it won’t be so bad after-all.
First of all, and most importantly, I plan to give a healthy dose of Reiki to the paint itself. Pink, blue and purple paints one and all will then be emitting Reiki from the walls they hang on for as long as the Reiki holds out. I’m not sure if Reiki-ing the paint will make it spread any smoother or drip any less, but I know that it will be blended in with the paint and forever be doing its thing.
The second way I plan on including Reiki is by spending some time tonight making liberal use of the distance Reiki symbol to send myself a few helpings of Reiki in the future… liberal use of the mental/emotional symbol to head off some of the frustration I’m sure to experience and liberal use of the power symbol to ward off some of the aches and pains that are sure to accompany the endeavor.
Finally I hope to run Reiki while actually painting to make it sort of a meditation. Allowing the Reiki to flow as I paint will not only relax me, but hopefully suspend time in the way that meditation does so well so that before I know it, the whole thing will be over and done with and I can get back to the more important things… which of late includes Monkeyball on the iPhone. 
Reiki can be added to virtually any activity to make it more pleasant, more rewarding and more spiritual… yes, even those dreaded chores like painting!

i like to use it while doing dishes.
and way back when i used to deliver pizzas, my manager would regularly ask me why i was always smiling while i folded boxes. it annoyed him to no end that he could never figure it out, but it was just a side-effect of my pizza box folding reiki meditation.
